LGLA MembershipLoxahatchee Groves Landowners' Association (LGLA) is a voluntary membership association open to all owners of lands within Loxahatchee Groves. The mission of the LGLA is to monitor and participate in the long term evolution and application of regional and local land use planning processes for our community. LGLA is committed to accurately reflecting the wishes expressed by our membership in monthly community meetings and frequent surveys and, hopefully, by the majority of our diverse community, in acting to protect and enhance the rural character and lifestyle of Loxahatchee Groves as described in the Loxahatchee Groves Neighborhood Plan and Rural Vista Guidelines (available through this website). LGLA is also a social organization, bringing the community together to celebrate the seasons and special events (Harvest Celebration with Loxahatchee Groves Nursery Association, Winter Progressive Dinner and Hayride), as well as jointly participate in civic projects (Elder Assistance, Elderly Paint-A-Thon). While common concern for our community is the primary bond that brings us together in the LGLA, we have a great time when we get together for fun and civic duty. LGLA is a not-for-profit corporation supported by membership dues and local fund-raising activities. If you are a Loxahatchee Groves land owner, we welcome your participation and invite you to become a LGLA member. Membership in LGLA is $20.00 per land owner member per year and primarily covers printing and mail distribution costs, which are dramatically increasing due to our heightened activism and efforts to frequently reach the community. |
