The contest is open to residents
of all ages including Council members and their families.
Non-residents cannot make an entry.

By submitting an entry you
certify that you are the sole artist(s) and that you have not used anyone
else's art as part of your design. Clipart that is in the public
domain or specifically states it may be used without any written approvals,
licensing, or royalties may be incorporated into your design.

All entries become the sole
property of the Town of Loxahatchee Groves which may option to copyright,
trademark, or otherwise protect the image. Any derivative works based
on the design entry are also the sole property of the Town.

In order to protect the option of
trade marking an entry, it may not be shown, advertised, or otherwise
displayed publicly other than on the web site without the written permission
of the Town Clerk.

All entries must be received by
5:00 PM November 1st, 2007. Entries received after that date will
not be accepted.

Three dimensional, relief,
holographic, motion, or other complex multimedia art is not acceptable as an
entry.

Obscene or objectionable material
will be refused entry at the option of the Town Clerk. Suspected
illegal material will be reported to the police.

Each entry will be
evaluated online but the final decision
will be made by a vote of the Town Council. Anyone can evaluate
an entry including residents, non-residents, and the entrant. You can
vote for any or all of the entries and you can vote more than one time but
votes will only be accepted once per day from a specific IP address.

A winner will be selected at an
October, 2007 regular meeting by a vote of the council members present
at that time. The scores each entry received on the web
site will be used to help in the decision but the final winner is at the
sole discretion of the Town Council. If the
Council is unable to decide, the decision will be made by the Town Mayor. If the
mayor is unable or abstains, the Town Clerk will make the selection.
